Brothers,

I have been apprised that some engineers within our GCA are receiving the following CMTS or Portal message:

"Effective 01/15/2015, MPUL BLET Engineer assignments will no longer be assigned via standing bid. New or open positions will be provided to your respective Local Chairman. For questions, or if you are interested in bidding a position please contact your Local Chairman."

This to advise that the above has no applicability to engineers working within the UP Southern territory and, if received by one of our engineers, tell them to disregard. The 2009 Standing Bid Agreement is still in full force and effect on our property. Said differently, nothing is changed in our business.

The above message was intended for engineers working in the Missouri Pacific Upper Lines (MPUL) territory and should have been addressed only to engineers working in that territory. I regret any confusion CMS’ error might have caused UPSR engineers. Please feel free to share with your respective memberships.

Fraternally,

Warren Dent

GC BLET UPSR
